Amazon Customer Another disappointing narrator The narration is dull, flat with no distinction between characters. TJ She gathered up her briefing materials and placed them in her briefcase.

Instead he walked to the bar and again poured another drink. The woman left the suite, slamming his door as she did.

With drink in hand he turned and faced the window again. Asmodius was right behind him. Briggs screamed and dropped his glass and fell to the floor as he turned to see nothing.

He started to cry and placed his hands over his eyes. He tried to stand and fell. Sort of! This last death might prove to be way too much for Jack.

And how would Henri fit in? Nov 06, Theresa rated it it was amazing. Overlord was supposed to be the conclusion of the Matchstick Man story, but obviously Golemon found more. After the war with the Greys, the Russians found something on the back of the moon and are keeping it to themselves. But then the story unfolds into another battle in the ancient millennial war between the human and alien good forces against the human and alien bad forces. I loved this book in spite of all the errors see footnotes. It has wonderful characters. But be prepared for heartbreak at the end.

In a previous book they have the Cryptology labs on level In this book the department is on level 87 which is below the artifact vaults.

Why the move? Or is this a continuity error? Mostly usage of the wrong word. Those are just a few in the middle that I found after trying to ignore most of the errors earlier in the book.

But they got to be too regular not to mention. Aug 06, Marco Lima rated it really liked it. I heard about the proofreading issues The story is absolutely entertaining and the characters up to their old tricks as always I'm giving this only 3 stars not because of the editing issues, but because if anything the story felt a little rushed The pacing was a little off at times and some of the characte I heard about the proofreading issues The pacing was a little off at times and some of the characters spent too much time on the sidelines.

The world the Event Group inhabits is one full mystery and intrigue and the book does a very good job of expanding on that With that said, knowing some of the problems Mr. Golemon was facing over the last year, I can overlook the negative points. But I do wish he would "recall" this one and re-release a "new edition" with just that little extra to bridge the gaps. Well worth reading regardless. Aug 17, James Pierson-Perry rated it liked it.

This is the first that missed the mark. It seemed that the author was trying to tie up too many loose ends and throw in the new element if witches. Sadly, it was way too rushed and many interesting characters were underdeveloped and tossed aside to rush to the finish. I really hope this isn't the end of the series and that the author gets back to form with the follow up. Adding insult to injury, the Kindle version of the book was very poorly edited with lots and lots of typos and wrong words.

Hopefully, someone will do a clean-up pass before too many more people download it. Mar 24, Stephanie M. Ending is such a letdown Talk about letdown. I feel like Wil-E-Coyote just aimed a tanker stuffed with fireworks at RR and watched the fuse fizzle in the rain. Like how do you even do that?

Very disappointed. Aug 15, Chanda Adams rated it it was ok. I truly enjoyed the story. I have enjoyed each book of the series. There is only one reason I gave it 2 stars The horrible editing made it a very hard read. Spelling errors, very simple spelling errors were on every page. If someone - say an editor that's getting paid to do their job - would have even glanced at the book, a lot of these could have been fixed before it was available to the public. I'm hoping they release a better copy so the next readers can truly enjoy the book th I truly enjoyed the story.

I, for one, am a little disappointed that I paid for this one. Oct 01, Jackie rated it it was amazing. I absolutely love The Event Group. This book really put me on an emotional roller coaster. I was excited when old friends returned but devastated with other revelations. The history of this conflict was enthralling and made it difficult to put down.

My only complaint is the editing was a bit lacking. Aug 16, Katie Willison rated it it was ok. I have this book only 2 stars because the editing is so bad, it's hard to concentrate on the story.

Honestly, it's as if it was translated by someone who doesn't speak English. But the syntax is wild, the grammar is just wrong.

But other than that, it was a very good story Golemon is a very good story teller, and this is one of my favorites.

I just hope a cleaned up version becomes available I have this book only 2 stars because the editing is so bad, it's hard to concentrate on the story. Main is not a state! Lots of words that sound alike but are spelled differently used incorrectly! There is no sign of damage other than accidental crash related destruction. In other words, sir, it was not shot down. The chance of finding viable genetic material and more advanced technology in its interior has risen to acceptable odds. The technology retrieved would far surpass that of the American discovery of the Mars built battleships near Shackleton Crater three years ago.

Permission to signal rover to proceed? On the large screen beneath the telemetry data scrolling across its bottom, the view changed to show a giant slice of hull had been torn open as if a giant can opener had sliced into it. Pieces of silverish hull materiel lay over most of the surface of the deep crater. Not even the Americans know what we may have accidentally discovered here on the dark side.

It stopped and the bright floodlight panned around. You can see no trail left by a controlled attempt at landing. He used a computer-generated cursor to highlight an area at the extreme end. Start a video file and order it to make a three-hundred- and sixty-degree record, please. The floodlights could only do so much in dispelling the gloom.

Soon chambers of some sort started to become clear. Men and women of the technical team leaned forward to better see. The chambers were covered by thick, clear glass-like material. The enclosures looked thick and strong. The camera angle was jostled as the tracks of the rover rode over chunks of debris on the flooring of the craft.

The Gagarin moved up to the cracked glass of the first chamber it came to. The angle showed what looked like a cot of some sort. The moon dust obscured much. Then one of the techs on the floor let out a gasp. In the corner, half buried in moon silt was a large body.

It looked to be mummified. Although the skin was petrified and dried out, it was clear as to what they were looking at. Sokol stood.
